Housing for IDPs who lost their homes
The Problem
Thousands of Ukrainian families have been left without their own homes due to military actions. They are forced to rent temporary apartments, live in dormitories, or even in uninhabitable conditions. For many, this has become a real challenge – especially for families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
The Goal
To provide internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the city of Kamianske with safe temporary housing and create conditions for a stable life, until they can return home or find permanent housing.
What We Do
- Search for and renovation of affordable premises that can be quickly converted into housing.
- Equipping rooms with basic furniture and appliances.
- Providing families with the opportunity for free accommodation for a certain period.
- Accompaniment by social workers and psychologists to help people adapt.
Expected Outcome
- Each family will have a roof over their heads and will be able to start rebuilding their lives.
- The risk of homelessness and social isolation among IDPs will decrease.
- The city will have a more stable situation with the placement of migrants.
Who We Support
- Families with children
- Elderly people
- People with disabilities
